In Arizona waren wir schon mehrmals. Zum ersten Mal waren wir 1992 dort (gleichzeitig auch das erste Mal in Amerika).
Wir haben in der Nähe von Phoenix, in Mesa, ein Haus gemietet und sind viel herumgefahren.
Unter anderem haben wir uns auf dem Apache-Trail die Ghost-Town Lost Dutchman angesehen.

| We have been several times in Arizona. Our first visit was in 1992. It was also the first time in America for us. We rent a house near by Phoenix in Mesa and cruised around a lot. Among other things we visited the Ghost-Town Lost Dutchman at Apache-Trail. |

| Im Süden von Phoenix gibt es einen sehr schönen Ort um den Sonnenuntergang zu zelebrieren. Den South Mountain Park. |
| In the south of Phoenix there is a very nice location where the sunset is celebrated every evening, the South Mountain Park. |

| Je später es wird, desto mehr Menschen versammeln sich hier um bei einem Picknick zu beobachten, wie die Sonne untergeht, wie die Lichter der Stadt nach und nach angehen und die Schachbrettstruktur der Straßen erkennbar wird. |
| The later it is the more people come to take part in this celebration while having a picnic. They watch the sunset and how the lights of the city turn on by and by. Then you can see the how the streets are built like a chessboard. Allways strictly north-south and west-east route. |
| Ein weiteres schönes Ziel in Arizona ist der Süden des Landes. Wenn man in Richtung Tucson fährt kommt man automatisch an einigen Sehenswürdigkeiten vorbei. Unter anderem haben wir uns die Mission San Xavier angesehen (etwas südlich von Tucson). |
| Another nice destination in Arizona is the south of the state. If you drive towards Tucson you see automatically some landmarks. Among other things we have seen the Mission San Xavier (a little bit south of Tucson). |

| Im Norden des Landes ist der Grand Canyon eines der berühmtesten Ziele - und auch eines der beeindruckendsten. Hier haben wir vom South Rim aus einen Helicopter-Rundflug unternommen. |
| In the north of the state there is the Grand Canyon. One of the most famous destinations - and one of the most impressing as well. Here we made a helicopter tour from the South Rim. |

| Das Monument Valley (ein Indianerreservat und kein National Park oder Monument) liegt nun etwas weiter östlich. Auch dieses Ziel ist z. B. aus einigen Filmen als Kulisse bekannt. Wir jedenfalls waren auch hier sehr fasziniert. |
| The Monument Valley (located in an Indian reservation - so it is not a national park or monument) is a little bit more in the east. Also this destination is well known e. g. as film scenery. We have been fascinated. |
